Altior Healthcare is excited to announce Kera Miller, MA, LPC-S will serve as its new director of the Ridge residential mental health treatment program for teens in Milton, NH. Having worked in mental health for nearly 25 years across residential, inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient/community-based settings, Kera brings a wealth of expertise and experience to her new role.

“I am thrilled to have Kera join the leadership team and to lead and grow the Ridge program. Kera’s skill set, expertise, and leadership style is ideally suited for the role, program philosophy, and our organizational goals for continuous improvement and growth,” says CEO Mik Oyler.

Kera’s philosophy in working with young people is to recognize the basic goodness in every individual, acknowledging they are doing the best they can with what they know, what they have available to them, and what their circumstances are. She believes that effective therapy is contingent upon building strong relationships, engaging the family unit, and understanding the underlying motivation for growth and change, while working through the thoughts and feelings that impede growth. Kera utilizes a mindfulness-based treatment approach in addition to DBT, CBT, EMDR, NeuroAffective Relational Model, Somatic Experiencing, and Trauma-Informed care.

Kera says, “I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to the Ridge community to help grow and foster the great work that is already being done.”
