Ascend Healthcare Hires Dr. Kyle DiFulvio as Program Director

Ascend Healthcare, leading provider of residential treatment for adolescents struggling with mental health & substance use disorders, has hired Kyle DiFulvio, PsyD, to lead the treatment team at Canyons House as full-time program director for adolescent clients & families. Kyle DiFulvio, PsyD, brings 7 Years of Clinical Expertise to Adolescent Girl’s Trauma and Anxiety Program
Dr. DiFulvio achieved his Bachelors’s, Masters’s, and Doctorate degrees at Antioch University. For the last few years, he was a Psychologist working with families, teens, adults/couples, and seniors of various ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. He can and does conduct psychological assessments and diagnoses and uses this in his work with patients experiencing different addictions, personality disorders, psychopathology, eating disorders, domestic violence, trauma, and abuse.
“I love working with teens because, developmentally, it’s the ideal time to intervene in a person’s life. The brain is rapidly developing, things start to click and make sense and connect properly, and it’s a great time to help change or alter someone’s trajectory,” said Kyle. He also shared his reason for working at Ascend’s Santa Clarita home. “I’ve known FE (Goldberg) for years prior to working here and I really enjoy his philosophy in treating people. It’s not about making money or mass-treatment of kids regardless of their individual needs, and I’ve worked for other centers that were like that before. At Ascend, teens and their families are treated comprehensively, individually, and well, and the staff is treated well too.”
Ascend Healthcare is thrilled that Kyle has accepted this position and looks forward to all of the positive and meaningful growth for clients, families, and staff that he will facilitate in his new role.
