Balance House Celebrates 10 Years of Service

Balance House has seen immense growth over the last few years as they have transitioned into a year-long, full continuum of care for young adult men. With roots dating back to January 2012 as a sober living home for men in Cottonwood Heights, UT to their growth into residential care, step down living, sober living, and independent living facilities located all throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Their changes have come organically and as a result of the heart and hard work of all members of the organization, from the top down.
Each phase of Balance House’s four phases of care features a member of the leadership/partnership team working day in and day out alongside a team of passionate staff members. CEO and founder Robbie Bills notes “It is hard to believe we are celebrating 10 years of service. It has been quite the journey. The success we have experienced is a result of the amazing people within our organization. Without them, this simply would not be what it has become. We look forward to what the next 10 years has in store.”
Strong community and alumni retention are key parts of the program that contribute to the success of the organization as a whole. Balance House’s strong, community-oriented culture has remained steadfast throughout its ten-year evolution. As clients admit to the program, they make a commitment to become a man of their word; growth, accountability, and self-realization all stem from their initial commitment and allow them to become the person they are meant to be.
About Balance House
Balance House is a year-long continuum of care for young men ages 18-35 years old. We are located in Salt Lake City, Utah at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. Balance House offers four, distinct levels of care from residential treatment to independent, sober living. Residents of the program are offered a chance to explore the outdoors, and beauty that Utah has to offer, as well as to participate in group and evidence-based treatment modalities. Our treatment program is different by design. We offer a space in which young men can help make decisions about their treatment plans and goals as well as feel supported as they begin to realize what is important to them outside of the treatment setting.
