Beacon Transitions Welcomes Jason Clemares as Young Adult Program Director

Beacon Transitions, an Independent Living Program for young adults is excited to welcome Jason Clemares as Program Director. Jason has an extensive background in therapeutic wilderness and joins Beacon with over eight years of experience in Residential Treatment and Wilderness Therapy, filling several administrative roles. With a passion for program culture, staff development, and clinically informed mentorship, Jason is a valuable member of Beacon’s Leadership Team.
As a Field Director with a Wilderness Program in North Georgia, Jason directly oversaw the training of dedicated, professional Field Staff.
At Beacon, Jason is similarly responsible for oversight of the Residential Advisors, the heart of Beacon’s organization. Jason ensures they are up to date on industry Best Practices, while developing a strong, growth-oriented culture. As a certified Positive Control Systems Instructor, Jason holds trainings on building rapport with students, making our relational approach viable and effective for facilitating change.
As a Program that relies heavily on Front-line Staff, Beacon is excited to have Jason leading the Team.
Beacon Transitions, an Independent Living Program located south of Asheville, NC brings a novel, collaborative approach to helping their students achieve targeted milestones of achievement. Using a community method, Beacon Transitions and their coalition of Mental Health Treatment Providers, Local Business Leaders, and educational professionals support Male-Identifying Young Adults develop the skills to live independently.
