Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness Announces Partnership with Sky’s the Limit Fund

Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness, a wilderness therapy program for adolescents ages 13-18 and young adults ages 18-29, is proud to announce its partnership with Sky’s the Limit Fund (STLF). STLF is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that provides grants for youth in crisis and their families with financial need by providing them with funds to offset the cost of wilderness therapy programs.
Blue Ridge aims to contribute to industry-wide accessibility and inclusivity in wilderness therapy programs. By reducing financial stress on families in crisis, Sky’s the Limit helps youth and families focus on getting treated and regaining the strength to work through their struggles. By partnering with STLF, Blue Ridge will be able to increase scholarship opportunities for students with financial needs, and in turn will seek donations from the Blue Ridge community and alumni to support STLF.
Blue Ridge Executive Director Danielle Hava, LCSW, speaks to the partners’ shared values: “I met Andrea and the STLF team two years ago at the Wilderness Therapy Symposium where we first connected about our desire to partner with each other. It’s been a long time coming, and we couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity to open more doors for families who could truly benefit from wilderness therapy. As a single owner-operated program, our partnership with Sky’s the Limit aligns with our goal of cultivating a community-oriented program where all families can learn to thrive.”
For every grant received by the Sky’s the Limit Fund, Blue Ridge will match that amount one hundred percent with an equal reduction in tuition. This partnership will also provide the opportunity for Blue Ridge alumni to get involved in supporting current and potential Blue Ridge families through fundraising events.
In addition to financial support, Sky’s the Limit Fund provides families with resources to help them navigate their child’s treatment journey, such as guidance, peer mentorship, outreach, and education. After a family attends Blue Ridge with a STLF scholarship, they will also have the opportunity to access STLF resources and family coaching services, which provide comprehensive family support of the child’s reintegration at home.
