Founded in 1906 The Oxford Academy provides a college preparatory education for boys seeking to thrive in their education – academically, socially, and emotionally. Coursework is offered one-to-one and customized to the student’s individual needs. This offering provides a high level of engagement that includes support and acceleration. Our teachers are versed at working with students who present neurodiverse learning profiles and many students remark that this is “the first time I felt understood and respected.”
Students live in a family-style community at The Oxford Academy, where civility and kindness are expected and developed. Outside of the classroom, students participate in competitive athletics, intramural sports, and fitness activities. Located in Westbrook, Connecticut, Oxford Academy is uniquely situated to offer abundant seaside recreation including sailing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. During free time, students enjoy the short walk to the beach to fish and swim or in town to visit favorite shops and restaurants. On campus offerings include tennis courts, frisbee golf, bocce, horseshoes, archery, basketball, soccer, lawn chess and a student center complete with billiards, ping pong, foosball, shuffle boards and a movie screening area.
