Boston Bushnell Promoted to Clinical Director at Gateway Academy
Gateway Academy is pleased to announce that starting in February 2024, Boston Bushnell, LCSW will be taking over the position of Clinical Director. Boston replaces Emily Faber, LCSW who has decided to shift her work-life balance to allow her to work closer to home. Fortunately, she will be continuing to work with Gateway providing extra support to our parents.
Boston has been part of the Gateway team for many years. He served as a staff mentor from 2014 to 2018 before returning to school to earn his Master’s in Social Work. In 2021, he came back to Gateway’s clinical team as a licensed therapist after working as a clinician in addiction and recovery. Currently, he is the lead therapist at Gateway House and has assisted many students during their final phase. Boston is someone who puts his heart and soul into all that he does. He is a talented therapist who is grounded and connected to others around him. He would describe himself as a “student of hard knocks as a teen,” which has provided him with great understanding and empathy for the students at Gateway. He is behind many of the fun and creative ideas implemented at Gateway and is a regular at the SPARKS brain breaks every day at 3:00 pm. Boston is committed to Gateway’s students and is a valued member of the team.
