Boulder Creek Academy Welcomes Clinical Director Alison Aggen

Boulder Creek Academy (BCA) is delighted to introduce Clinical Director Alison Aggen. Alison’s extensive clinical background, enthusiasm for working with students and families, as well as the enjoyment of working as a team are just a few of the many things that make her an amazing addition to the BCA family. Alison states, “I love data! Looking at where we have been, and where we want to go,” compliments the Boulder Creek Academy philosophy and focus.
Alison is originally from New Jersey and holds a graduate degree from Regis University Colorado in Counseling. Alison has been in the clinical profession for 20 years, working in an array of modalities. Alison began her career in private practice servicing children (ages 7 – 17) and their families, treating depression, anxiety, social skills, family dynamics, and ADHD. Alison also has experience working in the foster care system providing individual and group counseling in group homes and becoming a foster parent herself. “I am so excited about working with families.” What is most important to Alison is family dynamics. She has focused her clinical experience in healing the family and believes in the entire family healing together.
Having spent the last 10 years working in substance abuse with children and young adults supervising a multi-state operation, Alison specializes in evidence-based practices: CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experience, and Trauma work. Alison is currently earning her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. She is dedicated to strategic planning, program development, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Executive Director Lisa Hester shares, “We are so excited for all that Alison brings to our Clinical team here at Boulder Creek Academy. Her experience, her enthusiasm, and her care for our students is present in everything she does. We are so glad that she is here.”
Alison loves spending time with her husband Robert and their dog, Carl. They love anything outdoors, but especially enjoy hiking, fishing, and kayaking.
