The Clinical Director at Mountain Valley Treatment Center is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care to our residents by managing, leading, and mentoring our interdisciplinary clinical team. Our Clinical Director carries a small caseload while completing management duties such as hiring and training therapists, providing individual and group clinical supervision, and completing quality assurance initiatives. The Clinical Director works with the Executive Program Director to create clinical programming, advise on admissions, , and oversee all resident’s treatment to ensure the effective integration of clinical care within the residential milieu. As our clinical leader, the Clinical Director may be called upon to speak, teach, and represent Mountain Valley’s clinical program to external constituents for both collaborative and marketing purposes.



Serve as the senior leader of the clinical team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of clinical services.
Provide individual and group clinical supervision to a team of therapists.
Provide clinical and case management services to small caseload of residents
Oversee all treatment plans and discharge plans.
Hire and train clinical staff
Complete quality assurance initiatives and ensure clinical care in compliant with licensure requirements and best practice guidelines.
Provide clinical services to small caseload of residents
Assist with clinical program design
Support staff training and development across direct care departments
Serve as member of Mountain Valley’s leadership team
Serve as a member of the Admissions Team
Represent the clinical program in marketing and outreach initiatives


Minimum of a master’s degree in a clinical field such as social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology, or guidance counseling
License eligible in the state of New Hampshire
At least two years of licensed clinical experience required.
Experience clinical supervision, program management/development, and staff management is strongly preferred.
Experience and passion for working with adolescents is highly preferred.
Experience with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders, is preferred.
Experience and training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other relevant modalities preferred.
Experience working in a private-pay residential program desired.
