Coach-Mentors Is Featured Guest on Transformational Talk Radio’s ‘Recovery Recharged’ show

May 2021, Coach-Mentor’s Executive Director Jeff Brain, MA, CTS was invited to be a guest on the Recovery Recharged Radio podcast, hosted by Ellen Stewart and broadcast on Transformational Talk Radio. Known for its positive and diverse programming. Transformational Talk Radio has an audience of 5 million listeners.
The focus of the conversation was “Building Back Better” – how the pandemic has helped build our emotional muscle, providing the opportunity to re-emerge from a time of challenge with renewed hope, optimism, and strength.
While acknowledging the challenges we have all faced during the pandemic, Ellen, Jeff, and talk show host Dr. Pat Bacilli focused on specific advantages of the “lock-down” experience and identified areas of growth in four distinct areas of our lives: Family & Relationships, Work, School and Social/Interpersonal. Jeff specifically spoke to the supports available to those who are struggling to re-emerge, and the important role that coaching and mentoring can play. Jeff shared several examples of how Coach-Mentors has played a pivotal role in supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders during the pandemic, and now that we are trying to return to “normal”.
About Coach Mentors
Coach-Mentors is a program that works with adolescents & young adults who are either currently in outpatient treatment or returning home from residential treatment or wilderness therapy. We help clients put into practice the therapeutic goals they are working on treatment. Working collaboratively with treating clinicians and programs, we augment the work being done in office/program and help our clients take action and implement their therapeutic goals in their everyday lives.
Our support is practical, action oriented and individualized. We are currently serving clients in 14 states and can work with clients almost anywhere they are located. Our help is provided in person-at home or in the community and with Coach-Mentors that are individually selected for each client. From as little as twice weekly support all the way up to full time support (40+ hours a week, live-in support, etc), Coach-Mentors develops the right level of support needed for each client and their unique needs.
