Sky’s the Limit Fund’s (STLF)is hiring a Corporate and Foundation Giving Officer is responsible for the creation and management of a well-coordinated, strategic development plan to solicit and cultivate support from foundations, corporations and government sources. The Offcer works to establish long term partnerships, strengthen exisiting relationships and initiate new contacts within the corporate sector. Equally important, the Officer will research and apply for grants/awards from foundations, grantmaking organizations and governement sources.
The desired candidate must be able to provide the expertise to advance STLF’s interests by rearching and identifying sources of support, proactively seeking opportunites to generate new proposals based on corporate and foundation guidelines and interests and by maintaining strong communication with corporate and foundation donors and prospects. This position collaborates with STLF on funding priorities and reports to the Executive Director.
Identify corporate prospects and conduct research to determine interest and giving potential.
Develop, implement and manage cultivation and giving strategies for corporate giving.
Arrange, conduct and coordinate cultivation, stewardship and recognition activities.
Generate corporate partner revenue to equal or exceed annual corporate partner budget.
Identify and apply for corporate and foundation grant opportunities.
Develop and maintain grant calendar and tracking system.
Establish and maintain relationships with corporate and foundation contacts.
Participate in strategizing meeting with Executive Director and provide weekly updates, reports and projections.
Demonstrated record of success in generating significant commitments from corporations and foundations.
Knowledge of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies. Measurable success in corporation, foundation and fundraising techniques.
Experience in grant and proposal writing,
Self-motivated and disciplined to meet established benchmarks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and networking skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances.
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years progressively responsible fundraising, business development and/or sales experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft office and use of relational databases.
