Point School Puerto Rico celebrates success as one of its young men receives his advanced dive certification. This certification is accomplished through extensive online classes and numerous dives in different situations. Puerto Rico is known for its diverse marine life, vibrant coral reefs, and interesting underwater formations. With its warm tropical waters and excellent water visibility, Puerto Rico is well-recognized for scuba diving. 

“Diving underwater allows us to shed the distractions of our lives and truly focus on the moment, says program director Robert Baldassari. “It provides an excellent path to flow states and experiences of mastery. We are so proud of this young man for completing his Advanced Dive Certification while he was with us.” 

Scuba diving provides an experiential education experience through entering flow states. It is profoundly embodied, entailing a wide range of sensations and feelings, many of which may be new to the first-time diver; these novel experiences lead to increased self-awareness. Our students are learning to navigate perceived risk while mitigating real risk. For Point School Puerto Rico programming purposes, scuba diving provides a very easy to follow progression through the various levels.
