Elm Street Placements Strengthens “Parents Helping Parents” Approach in Partnership with Other Parents Like Me

Elm Street Placements, renowned for over 13 years of dedication to therapeutic and neurodiversity day and residential placements, has announced its new partnership with Other Parents Like Me, Inc. (OPLM). By championing the “parents helping parents” mantra, this alliance offers parents working with Elm Street Placements a one-year subscription to OPLM. This ensures they benefit from the peer support of trained Parent Facilitators who intimately understand their journey.
Lucy Pritzker, Elm Street’s visionary, had initially offered independent parent support groups. The advent of OPLM in 2022, however, presented a more refined, resonating solution. Teaming up with OPLM has been invaluable to the families. Many Elm Street parents are actively engaging in weekly support groups, a testament to the effectiveness of the “parents helping parents” principle,” said Pritzker.
OPLM provides the opportunity for a small company like Elm Street to offer support for their parents and allow them to be with other parents who are on the same journey. The key is “parents helping parents.” As Elm Street Placements continues its trajectory of growth and expansion with specialists spanning diverse placement domains including an addiction specialist, neurodiversity specialist, college placement specialist, and mental health specialist, this partnership remains a focal point, showcasing an unwavering commitment to parents’ holistic support.
