Fulshear is a treatment to transition program for women+ ages 18-25.
We are an attachment-based program. We focus on available, responsive, and secure relationships to heal trauma and attachment wounds. We use our Integrated Attachment Model for adults as well as other treatment modalities such as EMDR, DBT, family systems theory, and other modalities to treat trauma, substance abuse, personality disorders, family & relationship issues, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidality.
Fulshear provides a built-in continuum of care for acute client care. Clients start their work at the ranch campus in the small town of Needville to focus on healing trauma and attachment wounds, learn and implement self-care skills, and experience holistic health practices. After completing foundational work at the ranch, our clients move to our transitional living environment in Stafford, Texas. They live in apartments, find employment, continue or start schooling, and implement productivity skills. In the transitional living environment, clients learn to live beyond their trauma and attachment wounds.
Responsibilities
Therapist Job Responsibilities
- Providing individual, family, and group therapy each week
- Possess an affinity for relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
- Planning, implementing, and adjusting a course of treatment as required.
- Collaboration with teams
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: Needville, TX (Outside of Houston, TX)
Qualifications
BACKGROUND PROFILE: Equine Therapist/Mental Health Therapist/Licensed Mental Health Counselor
- The ideal candidate will possess a license in one of the following disciplines Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Clinical Social Work (CSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT)
- Associate licensure is welcomed
- Licensed in the State of Texas or able to be licensed in the State of Texas soon
- Two years of working experience in residential setting (preferred but not required)
- Able to work with a collaborative team
- Good verbal, written communication, and professional documentation charting skills.
- Family system work experience.
- Equine experience a plus. Preferred EAGALA or Natural Lifemanship Certification to do Equine Therapy
