Equinox RTC’s Clinical Team Announces NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) Training

The Clinical Team at Equinox RTC, a residential treatment center for teen boys ages 14-18, has begun the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) training process. At Equinox it is important to the Clinical Team that they keep up to date on current clinical training models so that the team can provide the best treatment possible.
NARM is an advanced clinical training for mental health professionals who work with complex trauma. NARM is a cutting-edge model for addressing attachment, relational and developmental trauma, by working with the attachment patterns that cause life-long psychobiological symptoms and interpersonal difficulties. These early, unconscious patterns of disconnection deeply affect one’s identity, emotions, physiology, behavior, and relationships. Learning how to work simultaneously with these diverse elements is a radical shift that has profound clinical implications for healing complex trauma. As such, NARM is positioned to become an invaluable treatment option for the Trauma-Informed Care movement as professionals gain a greater understanding of the nature of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
The Equinox Clinical Team traveled to Austin, TX at the end of May to begin in-person therapist training. The NARM Therapist Training is advanced clinical training for the healing of complex trauma. Enrollment is open to licensed psychotherapists, counselors, social workers & other licensed mental health professionals who work with complex trauma.
“It was extremely rewarding to further our training on complex trauma through NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM),” says Clinical Director Dr. Mike Feeney, “Equinox is unique in its focus on Relational Trauma, which includes grief, loss, and attachment. We provide clinically intensive treatment for boys struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use and abuse, learning disabilities, and other emotional and behavioral needs. We look forward to completing our training.”
The Equinox Clinical Team will be completing the NARM training throughout the remainder of the summer.
