Evangelhouse® Christian Academy Attains Joint Commission Accreditation

Evangelhouse Christian Academy, a 14- bed therapeutic boarding school for teen girls in St. Martinville, Louisiana, recently gained accreditation by the Joint Commission Behavioral Healthcare Accreditation Program.
The Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. It accredits over 22,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® is widely known for assuring the highest standards for patient safety and quality of care are provided. Accreditation assures the public the standards are met and operationally maintained.
Mark Barrentine, LCSW, chief executive for the therapeutic boarding school, announced the three-year certificate of accreditation and seal of approval was issued on March 9, 2021. He noted that the addition of Joint Commission accreditation supports the therapeutic boarding school’s mission to provide quality behavioral healthcare for teen girls in a Christian environment. He states: “Our clients and staff will benefit greatly from the high standards of care provided by the Joint Commission, and we look forward to the quality operational benchmarks their accreditation provides for Evangelhouse.”
