Evoke Therapy Programs Welcomes Girls Back to Its Cascades Location in Bend, OR

Evoke Therapy Programs is pleased to announce that after a gap of three years, adolescent girls are once again able to seek treatment at its Cascades program in Oregon, along with the adolescent boys and young adults of both genders who are already welcomed there. Girls groups are returning because therapist Jordan Kling has moved from Evoke’s Entrada location in southern Utah back to home to her roots in Bend, Oregon.
Kling grew up in the Bend area and began her journey into wilderness therapy there as well. “I knew from week one of my Evoke field instructor training in Bend years ago that someday I would be a wilderness therapist,” says Kling. “During my two-year stint as a field instructor at Cascades, much of my time was spent working with adolescent girls.”
Kling says she looks forward to using her experience from both locations, in addition to other professional family therapy experience she’s had, to weave together a cohesive, empowering and dynamic culture for girls at Cascades. “One of my favorite parts of being a wilderness therapist is collaborating with staff, and I am excited to work with them in launching a girls’ group. The cool thing about starting a new group is that I get to bring my creativity into supporting staff and students to set intentional norms.” Kling especially looks forward to bringing her passion for mindfulness, collaboration, healthy risk-taking, fun, and creative expression into the field in her work with both staff and students.
“It is a win for all of us at Evoke when we can expand our horizons while also supporting the health and happiness of our employees,” says Rick Heizer, owner and program director at Cascades. “In bringing Jordan back to Oregon, we get to do both. Jordan’s relationship approach is patient and compassionate, giving her a genuine ability to really connect with and empower the girls in her care. We can’t wait to see what she does here!”
Kling is also enthusiastic about this new direction. “Not only am I able to stay with Evoke, a company I love, but I also get to keep working with adolescent girls, return to my Bend community, be near my family, AND live in the best state in the world. Enthused is an understatement,” she says.
