Evoke Therapy Programs Welcomes Jaime Levine as New Therapist at Cascades Location

Evoke Therapy Programs is pleased to announce the hiring of as a therapist for adolescents and young adults at its Bend, OR location.
Levine works well with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders that show up as substance use, self-harm, low self-esteem, and thoughts of suicide. She is experienced in working with those who have trouble identifying their emotions and who have distorted thinking as a result of trauma. Levine also works with families who have contended with domestic violence and unresolved generational trauma. She always engages with both the family and the client to help them create new ways of thinking and relating.
“We are so excited to have Jaime join us,” says Lauren Roberts, Clinical Director at Evoke Cascades. “She is thoughtful, creative, relational, and clinically savvy. Her background in working in the wilderness with teens and adults will make her a great asset to our team.”
Levine earned her Bachelor’s in Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her time as an undergraduate, she worked in outdoor education where she first made the connection between team building and therapeutic processing. Levine still integrates team-building initiatives and interventions as an invaluable part of group therapy. In 2015, she joined Evoke Cascades and spent three-and-a-half years working as a senior field instructor. After her experience at Evoke, she was inspired to pursue a Master’s in Social Work with the University of Washington.
Levine spent the last year as an adolescent residential counselor working with youth and families who present with substance use and mental health disorders. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She draws on Relational-Cultural Theory, Person-Centered Theory, as well as mindfulness and body awareness practices.
“I came to work for Evoke because I believe it is one of the few therapeutic spaces that allows clients to show up in an authentic and vulnerable way that isn’t always accessible in the front country,” says Levine. “I love that we create space for families to pause and work through challenges in an intentional and meaningful process. But most importantly, I think the wilderness allows those who didn’t think they could show strength and bravery in the face of challenge an opportunity to do so.”
