Evoke Therapy Programs Welcomes Sara Dobish and Becci McNeely To Its Admissions Department

Evoke Therapy Programs announces two excellent additions to their expanding Admissions & Outreach team: Sara Dobish and Becci McNeely. While both women come to their new positions having spent invaluable time in the field as field staffers, they each took unique routes to get to Evoke.
Dobish comes to Evoke with the unique perspective of having been a former client. After completing her time at Evoke Cascades, she went on to graduate with a degree in psychology and international business from Rollins College and subsequently put in some years in big-city corporate jobs in Chicago, New York, and Denver. Missing the wilderness and its profound lessons, she eventually sought to use the other half of her college degree to become a field staffer at Evoke to support other young people and to reorient her work life in a more personally meaningful direction. This ultimately led to her new position in Admissions.
“I am excited to be in this role after working as a field staff, as it gives me a new perspective into our company’s mission,” says Dobish. “It is nice to be more a part of the family work that we do with the parents, after spending a good amount of time working with the kiddos, as I think both sides are equally important and impactful. I enjoy hearing families’ stories and offering them hope through the magic of the wilderness.”
McNeely’s path to Evoke began after she graduated from Roehampton University in England where she studied dance. She loved how dance enabled people to express and connect and taught dance in different outreach settings, primarily focused on adolescents and young adults. Her affinity for this age group led her into the summer camp industry, where she matched families with the best fit camp for their needs. Like Dobish, she too worked in the field at Evoke and that experience combined with her summer camp work, made her the perfect fit for her current position as an admissions and outreach coordinator.
“Evoke’s family services are what stood out to me in that we don’t just support the students but provide multiple resources to parents, siblings, and the further family system,” says McNeely. “From beginning my journey at Evoke as a field staffer, I learned the program from the student lens. But I also love that we have our therapeutic Intensives, for parents to step into their own work while their child is away at wilderness.”
For his part, Steve Kirk, Director of Admissions & Outreach, is delighted with the team’s expansion: “We are thrilled to have Becci and Sara join the admissions team at Evoke,” he says. “Both have a strong desire and passion for this work and the families we serve. They bring with them personal and professional experience, having both worked in the field, that will provide a unique lens to their new roles at Evoke.”
