Potentia Academics provides Educational Therapy, Academic, Executive Function, and Career Coaching to adolescents and young adults, in person and online.
Potentia Academics is for teens and young adults with ADHD, Learning Challenges, Autism, Anxiety and Depression who are hitting walls. It could be failing classes, staying organized, not doing homework, or getting lost or stuck in complex academic systems (incomplete credits, transfers, & more). General struggles can include the young person tackling life or school on their own and needing support for their path and development.
What we do:
🎯 Goal Setting: Creating actionable steps, accountability, and collaborative feedback with ACT and CBT integrated in our sessions.
🧠 ADHD & Executive Function: Using "Applied Executive Function Training" to build real-world skills.
📚 Academic Support: Helping students "conquer the trenches" of exams, fast-moving coursework, and complex written assignments. (We are not subject tutors.)
🏛️ In-depth knowledge of academic systems, enrollment processes, and bureaucracy that gets students stuck... and the know-how to solve it.
🔧 Experience with fixing challenging insufficient credit scenarios, academic shame, incompletes, transfers, and re-enrollments.
🌱 Holistic Approach: Incorporating sleep, diet, and exercise, rather than just focusing on grades.
