Solutions Family Support | Parent Coaching for Families of Struggling Teens & Young Adults

Solutions Family Support is a nationally recognized parent coaching practice helping families navigate struggle and stay ahead of it. Built on the H.O.M.E. Model, co-created by founder Hilary Moses, MSW, we focus on the part of the family system with the most leverage: the parents.

Our coaches bring 15–30 years of clinical experience in wilderness therapy, residential treatment, and transitional support. We don't just understand these systems. We've worked inside them.

Who we serve

 • Parents and co-parents of pre-teens and teens (ages 10-17) and young adults (ages 18–26)
 • Families before, during, and after wilderness therapy or residential treatment
 • Families in crisis, and those working to prevent one
 • Available nationwide [virtually / by phone]

Common challenges we help parents navigate

 • Supporting a teen or young adult who is anxious, withdrawn, or emotionally overwhelmed
 • Responding with confidence when you're worried about substance use or risky choices
 • Rebuilding communication when conflict, defiance, or distance has taken over
 • Knowing how to help when school, motivation, or follow-through break down
 • Guiding a young adult who is stuck or struggling to launch into independence
 • Preparing for your child's return home after treatment and keeping progress going

Where we fit in the continuum of care

 • Early support: proactive coaching that helps parents respond to warning signs early, often preventing the need for out-of-home treatment
 • Pre-treatment: clarity, decision-making, and finding the right next step
 • During treatment: parallel parent work so parents grow alongside their child
 • Post-treatment: transition planning, home integration, and long-term support

What we offer

 • One-on-one parent coaching (individual and co-parent sessions)
 • Structured coaching pathways from stabilization through long-term growth
 • Group coaching and community-based parent support

Our approach

We blend clinical expertise with real-world skills, including nervous system regulation, communication, boundaries, emotional presence, and relational repair, translated into practical tools families use every day. This is not therapy. It's transformational guidance for the leaders of the family system.

Every parent coach who works with Solutions Family Support has had extensive careers in out of home treatment modalities and years of clinical practice working with families. As parent coaches, our work takes on a different focus than as therapists, though we incorporate our training and expertise into all that we do. Our ability to accurately and quickly assess the needs that parents have and to give clear and effective guidance and support, is the hallmark of the work we do at Solutions.
