Youth Prevention Mentors in the U.S. support adolescents and young adults ages 13-35 and their families virtually & in-person.

Rather than office-based therapy alone, Youth Prevention Mentors (YPM) brings support directly into the home, school, and community. This concierge mentorship approach means a mentor meets the young person where their actual life happens, not just in a clinical setting.

What support looks like day to day:

  • Daily in-person coaching and/or companioning to build consistency and trust
  • Crisis management when things escalate
  • Executive functioning coaching (organization, time management, follow-through)
  • Social survival skills training for real-world interactions
  • Family systems work and boundary support

HOW:

  • Sessions are held in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format, depending on the family's needs.
  • A no-cost consultation comes first, used to understand the family's current situation and match the young person with the right mentor.

Oversight:

  • The program maintains 24/7 clinical oversight alongside its wrap-around family support.

Where it fits in the continuum of care:

Youth Prevention Mentors' model is best suited for families who want a mentor, structure, and family recalibration rather than a residential or school-based placement. It tends to appeal to families looking for something that starts quickly, is discreet, avoids long binding contracts, and prioritizes practical, at-home change over a facility-based intervention.
