Foundations Asheville Student Led Initiatives At All Time High

Young adults at Foundations Asheville are demonstrating more initiative than ever before and are creating community-focused activities such as forming a creative writing group, participating in a contra dance and having bake-offs. The activities broaden students’ horizons, allow them to work independently and collaboratively and develop leadership qualities that foster a healthy and robust future.
“We work individually with students to support them in exploring their interests and values. By encouraging students to share their passions with others, we find, builds confidence and leadership qualities that support their growth as independent young adults,” explained Admissions Director Natalie Bryenton.
Foundations Asheville is a transitional living community for young adults ages 18-24 seeking to find direction and social connection. Students engage in college or vocational training, community service, work, and participate in activities designed to build strong social skills. The program is phased allowing students to practice supportive independence and eventually move towards independent living.
