Hampshire Country School Welcomes Beth Venable, LPC as Assistant Head of School

Hampshire Country School is excited to share that Beth Venable, LPC has joined their learning community as Assistant Head of School. Hampshire Country School (HCS) is a 10-month boarding school located in southern New Hampshire for high-ability, neurodiverse boys enrolling in later elementary or middle school. The boarding school provides a light-heartedness, and structure to educate boys in a family-style, supportive, and collaborative learning community.
Beth contributes a diverse set of experiences with students in mainstream, special needs, and therapeutic school settings having served in program development, business development, admissions, and clinical roles. In addition to these “boots on the ground” experiences, Beth served on leadership teams or offered professional consulting for several schools and programs prior to starting an adventure-based therapeutic private practice in 2017. In her 20 plus years of educational experience, she has been repeatedly drawn to the specific puzzle of twice-exceptional clients and the seemingly contradictory needs of both supportive structure and creative flexibility.
At Hampshire Country School, Beth is drawn to the unique opportunity to combine previous experiences with school leadership, depth of program development skills, and genuine affection and understanding of HCS’s unique student profile with an environment that embraces collaborative, creative student support using adventure, education, and a working farm.
In her new role, Beth will be helping to create an overall school program rooted in relationships, adventure, and flexibility so that students can find multiple opportunities for success through social learning, shared experiences, and well-being.
