Innercept and Ironwood Now Working with Commercial Insurance Carriers

As part of Altior Healthcare’s commitment to increasing access to quality mental health care and making improvements across all four of its youth mental health programs, Innercept, a teen and young adult RTC in Idaho, and Ironwood Maine, an adolescent RTC and accredited school in Maine, are now working with most commercial insurance carriers out-of-network. Families now have the option to utilize out-of-network benefits for treatment, marking a positive change as previously, the two programs were available exclusively as self-pay.
“This change is significant as it enables us to help more families and provide increased access to effective mental health treatment at a time when youth are in crisis and the incidence of suicide, depression and self-harm in the youth population is at an all-time high. We care about the well-being of our youth and their families, and now have dedicated billing teams who can work with families and are committed to holding insurance companies accountable for parity. This will allow families to stretch their dollars and receive more treatment and value for what they have budgeted”, shares Paul Auchterlonie, CEO of Altior Healthcare.
In addition, both Innercept and Ironwood Maine are actively pursuing in-network contracts with insurance companies, with the goal of replicating the success sister company Paradigm Treatment has had in securing contracts with Anthem Blue Cross, MHN, and Kaiser (northern California).
