International Travel Returns to Valley View School
After a three-year, Covid-induced hiatus, Valley View School has announced it will be resuming its international travel program. For decades, students at Valley View School have traveled abroad to explore different lands and cultures. This cherished tradition came to a sudden halt when the Covid pandemic arrived, as it was deemed too risky to continue the program. However, Executive Director Rick May recently confirmed that an international trip is in the planning stage.
Mr. May states, “We are excited to re-establish our long-standing tradition of traveling overseas with our students.”
Valley View Coordinator of Clinical Services Jim Haupt has taken 9 previous international trips with VVS students and will be leading the March 2024 excursion. Mr. Haupt recently noted, “The tentative plan is to travel to Peru, where we will combine sightseeing, cultural experiences, and a community service component”.
The Valley View community is thoroughly excited about the upcoming excursion and getting back to its annual international travels.
