Ironwood Maine has been accredited by the Joint Commission, an independent organization requiring behavioral health programs and services to meet and exceed rigorous performance standards. The Gold Seal of Approval® is a widely recognized symbol of quality and patient safety.

Executive Director Megan Ryan shares, “This accreditation represents a team accomplishment, from contributing to the actual accreditation process to actually meeting the high standards of care on a daily basis. We know the quality of our care, but now it’s great to also be able to share this with everyone by displaying the gold seal.”

Additionally, Ironwood is now certified with the Student Exchange Visitor Program, allowing the school to issue I-20 forms, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status,” to prospective international students after admittance. Prospective international students can then use the form to apply for a visa to enter the United States.

“This enables us to help even more students, whether they reside here in the US or abroad,” says Admissions Director Chris Johnson. “We want to be a resource to international clients and their families, streamlining the process and taking a little more of the burden off of them.”
