Journey Home West Announces Addition of Bailee Gacioch, MSW as Primary Therapist

Journey Home West is excited to announce the addition of Bailee Gacioch as the Primary Therapist at their young adult transitional living program. Bailee studied psychology and criminal justice at Weber State University before graduating with her MSW from Indiana University. Bailee has 10 years of experience working with adults and adolescents in residential treatment and brings a wealth of knowledge to the role.
In addition to Bailee’s experience in residential treatment, she has worked in juvenile detention, criminal court, Division of Child and Family Services, case management for individuals experiencing trauma, addiction, domestic violence, child abuse, and child neglect. She also has training in CBT, DBT, and forensic interviewing.
Bailee works from a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to foster empowerment and teach self-advocacy skills. “I want to empower my clients to approach their lives with confidence,” she said. “I want them to learn the skills needed to advocate for themselves and create a life they’re proud of.”
Bailee will work with clients at Journey Home to continue the growth they’ve made in prior treatment settings, helping them set goals and make a plan for their futures. She is excited to take on this role and looks forward to helping her clients successfully launch into adulthood.
About Journey Home West
Journey Home West is a step-down community-based program for young people ages 16-21 that provides structure for students while they learn independent living skills. Much of the structure and support provided by our 24/7 staffed home is managing electronic devices, managing free time and social life appropriately, and budgeting, shopping for groceries and cooking meals. Clients are provided with a therapist in the home to work on individual and family issues while attending school or working in the community.
