Judith Sadora, MA, LMFT joins outBACK Therapeutic Expeditions as Family Therapist

outBACK Therapeutic Expeditions, a purpose-driven wilderness therapy program, is honored to announce that on July 7, 2022, Judith Sadora, MA, LMFT joined the outBACK team as the Family Therapist. As an intention-based program that draws deeply on its mission of bringing families BACK together, outBACK is excited to shine a spotlight on the commencement of the co-creation process of enhancing the family and alumni program at outBACK Therapeutic Expeditions.
Judith holds a Masters in Marriage and Family and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She comes to the team with extensive experience and knowledge of family systems work which allows her to successfully navigate and honor both the individual process of self-discovery, while helping them engage and understand the magnitude and power of collective healing. When asked about Judith Sadora joining the team, here is what Business Development Director, Tracy Hopkins, MSW, CPDC had to say, “I have been a part of this private pay behavioral healthcare world for over 20 years now and phrases such as ‘meeting clients where they are’ as well as ‘relationship-based programming’ are often commonplace. What I want to convey to others is how Judith not only embodies the phrases, but she translates the phrases into action.” Tracy further explains, “Her education, practice, and keen understanding of how things operate at a macro level (systems work) coupled with her dedication, ‘boots on the ground’ focus of how individuals move through the world on a micro-level (personal work), lends itself to working effectively and compassionately with our families and the myriad of obstacles they interface as a unit.”
Kjrsten Walters, MA, LMFT will continue her work as the parent support therapist for current outBACK families throughout the month of July 2022. This will give space for Judith Sadora to utilize this month to assess and evaluate the current family programming as well as work as an active co-creator in the process of enhancing both the current family program and alumni family services. Here is what Judith had to share about joining the team at outBACK, “I am excited to work with the team at outBACK because of their genuine desire to support students and families. I have always appreciated the relationships I have had with some of the team members over the years and have been impressed with the level of humility in the way they do the work. As a family therapist whose lens and approach are rooted in systems work, I am grateful for the opportunity to utilize my areas of expertise and passion and incorporating them into a robust and inclusive family /alumni programming at outBACK. I am looking forward to seeing how the work we do with families leads to long-lasting, sustainable change.”
