Mike Groves Moves Into the Director of Operations Role at Foundations Asheville

Mike Groves recently moved into the role of Director of Operations at Foundations Asheville, a young adult transition community for men and women ages 18-24. In this new position, Mike wears a lot of hats, from process analysis to developing operational systems that improve health and safety management, to supervising direct care staff and engaging students in local activities.
Mike and his team of direct care staff help Foundations students work towards their personal goals while seeking out new interests. “Our location is such a great asset to that work,” says Mike. “Asheville is a great place for experiential learning and self-exploration. I love that we can engage students in garden clubs, rock climbing, tennis, biking, and easily take them on trips from the mountains to the coast.”
Mike has worked in the industry for several years and joined the Foundations Asheville team in October 2020, after taking a couple of years off to be a stay-at-home dad. “I was excited to come back to work and join an innovative and collaborative team that shares my motivation and eagerness for helping young adults in need of support,” says Mike.
