Monuments Welcomes Liz Blaha as Director of Admissions and Outreach

Monuments RTC is proud to announce that Liz Blaha, LCPC has joined the team as Director of Admissions and Outreach. Within this role, Liz will walk alongside families and referral partners as they seek specialized treatment and academic support for boys age 13-17.
Monuments is a residential treatment center for young men located in southwest Utah. The program was created with the purpose of helping students build self-efficacy and make life-long change through customized clinical work, hands-on learning, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Liz will work closely with Executive Director Mary Lou Wise, LCSW. “I love the vision of Monuments and am grateful for those I get to share this journey with,” stated Mary Lou. “As such, I am delighted that Liz is joining our team. Many of you already know her and her passion for helping families. She has quickly become an integral part of our team of professionals. Her caring nature, professionalism, and clinical background are a much-respected piece of our leadership team.”
Liz earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from DePauw University, completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. Liz comes to Monuments with ten years of experience throughout her career in a variety of roles within therapeutic programs, including direct care, clinical, aftercare, admissions, marketing, and outreach.
“We are thrilled to have Liz as part of the Monuments team,” said CEO Gordon Birch. “Liz comes to us with years of experience and wealth of knowledge serving youth and their families. With her clinical background and the relationships she has garnered working with referring partners, she will ensure the proper care and placement of each student.”
In regards to her new role, Liz stated, “I am excited to join the dynamic and knowledgeable team at Monuments and grateful for the opportunity to utilize my clinical skills and passion for connecting with people to work with the families and referents exploring Monuments as an option for their child. It is a humbling experience when a family allows you into their pain, and it is an honor to offer them hope for the future.”
