New Focus Academy Launches Girls Program

New Focus Academy is excited to announce the opening of its new girls’ program. This new program will be opening on November 1st, 2021, and is now accepting applications. Although the program is licensed by the state of Utah for 12 students, New Focus Academy will only accept 8 students in the first few months.
The girls’ program will operate close to the existing New Focus Academy main house. Girls will have a separate residential house from the boys and be in female-only classes for the foreseeable future. Eventually, New Focus Academy hopes to have an integrated, co-ed academic program for students. Girls ages 12-18 struggling with social, emotional, or functional challenges can benefit from a stay at New Focus Academy. The program helps adolescents gain the skills needed to live independent, fulfilling lives. Just like existing programming for the boys’ program, female students will participate in ongoing community involvement, building their confidence while learning life skills.
“We are thrilled to be opening the girls’ program at New Focus Academy,” said Dr. Brandon Park, Ph.D., Founder of New Focus Academy. “The girls’ program will give us the opportunity to help even more neurodiverse adolescents gain independence and build confidence as they grow and learn.”
A Virtual Launch Party will be held on Monday, October 18th; contact Director of Admissions Marisa Davis, marisa@newfocusacademy.com for details or to learn more about admissions or submit an application to the new girls program.
