After a six-month hiatus, the Success is Subjective podcast is officially back. After wrapping up Episode 200 with the host divulging her own story, numerous parents reached out to express their gratitude for the podcast. They were grateful for the topic, grateful for the stories, and by listening each week felt a sense of hope for their children on non-linear paths. The resounding request to consider bringing it back was heard loud and clear.
Season 3, starting with Episode 201, was released on 3/5/2024 with guest Bogie Foden. In restarting, the podcast needed to be slightly different. The changes include asking different questions to guests, episodes are now capped at 25 minutes, recordings are made of both audio and video, and occasionally hosting an “expert” on a topic related to working with young adults. The premise of the podcast is the same, but the style and content will be slightly different.
The Success is Subjective podcast was originally launched in February 2020. For three and a half years, Joanna Lilley hosted 200 interviews, creating an arsenal of stories demystifying that life is without adversity in young adulthood. When asked about what ended things in the first place, Joanna Lilley said, “Although I appreciated every interview and guest, I became burnt out. That’s why I shared my own story in Episode 200, thinking that would be the end of my podcasting journey. I just needed a short break and the space to reimagine how it could look different to keep it alive.” In each episode, Joanna will also be introduced as a “Host and Therapeutic Consultant” to educate listeners about her professional experience.
For those curious about where to find the most recently published episode, it can be found on all podcast-playing platforms (Amazon, Apple, Audible, Google, iHeart Radio, Spotify, Stitcher, and TuneIn Radio). The video portion of the interview will be found on the Lilley Consulting YouTube Channel.
