The team at Bridge House is excited to announce a newly produced video detailing the philosophy and approach to community immersion-based assessment while highlighting the beautiful, home-like, non-institutional setting in Farmington, Utah, where the program is based.
Executive Director and Founder Rod Andrus,MSW, LCSW, CTT II, describes Bridge House’s unique approach to relationship-driven stabilization and assessment, which has been the program's core foundation since its inception in 2017.
Rod and the team at Bridge House use a two-fold approach to stabilization and assessment. First and foremost, residents in the program stabilize through exposure to a unique and calming environment. As the video highlights, Bridge House’s campus is peaceful and soothing, operating out of two large homes on approximately six acres and surrounded by beautiful landscaping, a pond, and a creek running through the property. By creating a safe and comfortable environment, Bridge House allows residents to settle in and feel encouraged to share their life experiences and vulnerabilities.
Secondly, through relationship and rapport, Bridge House staff ensure that all residents feel seen and cared about as the unique human beings they are, rather than as broken objects that need to be fixed. Bridge House staff understand that all people have an inherent drive towards health, well-being, and purpose, and by providing an environment free of judgment and expectation, Bridge House can guide residents through a process of being truly understood and seen for who they are for perhaps the first time in their lives. In doing so, residents leave Bridge House with a comprehensive Bridge to Health Plan allowing them to return to their lives, equipped with tools and a road map outlining a journey towards health and well-being.
