Cascade Home: A Specialty Short-Term Program for Adolescent Girls With Anxiety and OCD
Parents searching for effective short-term treatment options for their child struggling with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) now have a specialty solution in Cascade Home. This clinically driven residential program emphasizes long-term results through evidence-based care.
While many general short-term programs provide temporary boosts in confidence or coping skills, research shows that these gains are rarely sustained without a focused clinical model (Knekt et al., Psychological Medicine, 2016; Stahlschmidt et al., Children, 2016). Cascade Home addresses this gap by grounding its program in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for anxiety and OCD.
“Parents are often frustrated when progress made in a short-term setting fades quickly after their child returns home,” said Briana Petters, Clinical Director at Cascade Home. “Cascade Home was created to break that cycle. By specializing in ERP and equipping our staff with advanced training, we help adolescent girls achieve breakthroughs that truly last.”
Why Cascade Home Is Different
- Specialty Assessment: Each student enrolling at Cascade Home receives a full battery of psychological testing, including ADHD and ASD testing
- Compulsion Stabilization: ERP-based therapy helps reduce the compulsions and ruminations that disrupt daily living
- Specialty Focus: Exclusively serving adolescent girls with anxiety and OCD.
- Evidence-Based Model: Grounded in ERP, widely recognized as the most effective treatment for anxiety disorders.
- Clinically Trained Staff: Every staff member is trained in ERP and adolescent development to ensure therapeutic strategies are reinforced across all aspects of daily life.
- Sustainable Outcomes: Skills gained at Cascade Home are designed to transfer seamlessly into school, family, and community life.
Cascade Home’s short-term specialty approach ensures that adolescent girls not only make progress during their stay but also carry those gains forward long after the program ends.
