The Life Focus Transitions (LiFT) program, created by New Focus Academy founders neuropsychologist Dr. Brandon Park and clinical expert John Webb, proudly celebrates the achievements of its graduates—neurodivergent young adults who are stepping into the world equipped with the skills, confidence, and independence to thrive. Specifically designed for individuals aged 17.5 to 26, LiFT offers a fully personalized experience. By combining Dr. Park's extensive expertise in neurodivergent brain function with John Webb's strong clinical foundation, the program ensures exceptional care and a tailored approach that meets the unique needs of each participant.
Empowering Neurodivergent Young Adults to Thrive
LiFT marks a significant milestone in the lives of its graduates, who have transformed their challenges into achievements. From completing high school diplomas to excelling in college coursework, trade programs, and job placements, LiFT equips neurodivergent young adults with the tools to thrive.
“At Life Focus Transitions, we understand that building these skills is not just essential for neurodivergent young adults, but also transformative for their families,” said Dr. Brandon Park. “When these young adults gain confidence and independence, it creates a ripple effect of benefits for their family and the overall community.”
Inclusive Environment Exclusively for Neurodivergent Young Adults
LiFT is designed exclusively for neurodivergent individuals, creating an inclusive community of peers that fosters acceptance and understanding. Unlike programs with mixed populations, LiFT’s environment eliminates external pressures, allowing participants to focus entirely on their growth. Each apartment offers private bedrooms for up to three young adults, further supporting personal comfort and reducing sensory challenges associated with shared bedrooms.
Individualized Autonomy Programming
LiFT delivers highly individualized care, with each young adult receiving a treatment plan tailored to their goals and unique abilities. Autonomy programming is at the heart of the community, empowering young adults to make meaningful life decisions. Evidence-based methods, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and motivational interviewing, support graduates in developing self-confidence and lasting independence.
Vocational Training for Neurodivergent Individuals
Preparing graduates for their careers is critical to the Life Focus Transitions program. Participants benefit from vocational training partnerships that offer them meaningful, hands-on job experience. Whether pursuing trade certifications, college coursework, or community-based employment, LiFT’s emphasis on vocational rehabilitation ensures that graduates leave well-equipped for professional opportunities.
Independent Living Skills for Real-World Success
LiFT’s residents gain hands-on training in independent living skills by participating in apartment-style living arrangements. This real-world environment helps graduates learn key life skills, such as budgeting, meal preparation, and time management, that pave the way for success in adulthood. Every graduate leaves the program with the experience and confidence to live independently.
A Holistic, Family-Centered Approach
The success of the Life Focus Transitions program extends beyond its participants to include their families. Through innovative initiatives like Tea Time conversations, Parent Seminars, Family Retreats, and Support Groups, LiFT empowers families with the tools to support their young adults. These resources help strengthen family bonds while preparing everyone for the graduate's next steps.
Life Focus Transitions Celebrates Graduate Success
Life Focus Transitions empowers neurodivergent young adults to achieve independence and confidence. LiFT’s graduates exit the program equipped with new skills, new confidence, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to their communities. With comprehensive services covering therapy, clinically informed vocational and educational support, real-world skills training, cutting-edge autonomy programming, and graduates finding real success, Life Focus Transitions is a leader in preparing neurodivergent individuals for adulthood.
