Rooted Life Adventures is thrilled to launch its new Australia Gap Year Women's Program, designed for women aged 18-24, for Spring 2026. Located on the East Coast of Byron Bay, this program is the perfect fit for women seeking a transformational experience. Together, they will explore and lean into values and intention. Students will discover new aspects of themselves and set themselves up for a successful future through mentoring and extensive goal planning in a safe and encouraging environment. It's a personal development program like no other and is a truly valuable way to spend a gap year experience.
This six- or ten-week program follows the same scheduling as other Rooted Life Adventures programs. It includes a weekly format with a day dedicated to life skills, volunteering, internship, wellness, and cultural awareness, and two days set aside for adventure activities. This program is led by a Wellness Director, a fully qualified therapeutic coach, who lives with students 24/7 alongside multiple Program Leaders. The Wellness Director not only leads wellness sessions and workshops but also provides valuable, "in the moment" therapeutic coaching. If the student already has a therapist at home, RLA can also facilitate virtual appointments as needed.
Rooted Life Adventures focuses on "home living," differentiating it from other program providers. At the beginning of an RLA program, students provide an overview of their expectations for sharing a house and who they want to be when they enter into relationships with one another. Each day, students cook together in a big, open-plan kitchen and eat outside in the fresh air, under the sun or stars. There are several cozy communal lounges ideal for group hangs and heart-to-hearts, alongside quiet corners for journaling, sipping tea, or reading in a hammock. The property features a pool and tropical gardens full of birdsong. It's peaceful, private, and wildly beautiful - just ten minutes away from the centre of Byron Bay. RLA students learn the tools they need to confidently handle any co-living challenges that arise, both while on program and in cohabiting situations after they leave.
NEW EXCITING NEWS - Students can now earn college credit on all Rooted Life gap year programs, and a 529 account can be used to pay for a program in full.
What else can you expect from the Australia Gap Year Program?
