Engage and Pacific Quest Join Forces at YATA 2026 to Present on AuDHD

Engage Young Adult Transitions and Pacific Quest will be presenting together at the annual YATA Conference in San Diego on October 22. Jack Hinman, PsyD, of Engage and Rob Gent, PhD. of Pacific Quest will present “AuDHD: The Neurodevelopmental Collision Reshaping Young Adult Mental Health,” exploring the overlap of autism and ADHD and how that combination can shape the young adult experience.

The presentation will focus on how autistic and ADHD characteristics interact with anxiety, depression, executive functioning, sensory needs, relationships, and the increasing demands of emerging adulthood. Rather than viewing AuDHD simply as autism plus ADHD, the presentation will explore how competing needs for predictability and novelty, structure and stimulation, connection and recovery can affect functioning. Particular attention will be given to young adults who appear highly capable but struggle to consistently access those abilities as expectations for independence increase.
