Engage Young Adult Transitions has been partnering with Parent Coach Professionals, led by Mary Hickey, MEd, CPC, and Colin Cass, to provide direct coaching support to parents of young adults. This initiative, now a core part of the Engage experience, is designed to help parents stay connected, confident, and engaged as their adult children navigate the challenges of independence. Mary and Colin bring decades of experience supporting parents through the transition to adulthood. Their skill-based coaching model aligns closely with Engage's philosophy of autonomy, connection, and developmentally appropriate family involvement. Every Engage family now receives six individual coaching sessionsat no additional costbecause the Engage team believes this kind of steady, attuned parent support is critical to long-term outcomes. This parent coaching is provided in addition to the regular family therapy offered by Engage therapists, creating a comprehensive support model for both the young adult and their family system. "Parent coaching has become even more important in today's landscape," said Dr. Jack Hinman, founder and admissions director at Engage. "With the increased anxiety I see in parents of adult children, they need even more supportnot just to manage fear, but to stay grounded and connected as their young adult moves toward greater independence and adulthood." nbsp; About Engage Young Adult Transitions: Engage Young Adult Transitionsis a therapeutic community situated just steps away from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, and minutes from the surrounding mountains.
