Evangelhouse Christian Academy proudly celebrates 30 years of continuous operation since its founding on August 5, 1995. As a therapeutic boarding school that provides exceptional clinical care in a Christian environment, Evangelhouse has remained steadfast in its mission to support young women and their families through compassionate, expert care. This milestone marks three decades of dedication to fostering healing, growth, and hope for Christian families across the United States and abroad.
Evangelhouse is dedicated to delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare in a nurturing Christian environment. Since 1995, it has blended licensed therapy, psychiatry, and accredited behavioral healthcare with the structure of a traditional
Christian boarding school. As a private, parent-choice organization, Evangelhouse supports Christian families with tailored programs designed to address mood disorders, trauma, family problems, technology overuse, and behavioral challenges. Located in St. Martinville, LA, the boutique therapeutic boarding school serves young women in grades 6th through 12th, with a capacity of 20 students, ensuring personalized attention and impactful outcomes.
"Reaching 30 years of service is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our team, our community, and the trust placed in us by the families we serve," said Mark Barrentine, LCSW, Executive Director for Evangelhouse Christian Academy. "As a Joint Commission-accredited behavioral healthcare organization, our mission has always been to provide a safe, nurturing space where young women can heal and thrive in a Christian environment, and we look forward to continuing this work for years to come." As Evangelhouse reflects on its legacy, it remains dedicated to empowering young women and their families, offering hope and healing through clinical excellence.
