Over the past three decades, Evangelhouse Christian Academy has meticulously developed and refined its unique approach, the LifeLeaf™ treatment model. Conceived in 1995, the method was rooted in a vision to provide a more comprehensive and compassionate approach to treating struggling teenage girls, focusing on five areas of wellness. This comprehensive approach is based on the belief that true healing requires a holistic framework. Initially, the founders integrated evidence-based clinical therapy within a faith-based environment. This laid the groundwork for a program that could address a teen girl’s complex emotional and behavioral needs while supporting Christian family values.
The LifeLeaf Method centers on five key areas of wellness:
- Therapeutic Emphasis: Licensed individual and group therapy sessions address underlying emotional and behavioral challenges. Structural family therapy brings stability to each student’s family.
- Academic Excellence: A fully accredited curriculum ensures girls remain on track with their education while building confidence and discipline.
- Spiritual Environment: A faith-based environment offers a framework for inspiring a sense of hope and purpose.
- Social Growth: The program places emphasis on a supportive peer culture. Students learn social skills to foster character development and enhance peer leadership.
- Physical Health: Diet, exercise, and recreation therapy serve to teach a healthy lifestyle. The connection between body, mind, and spirit is emphasized as key to behavioral health.
