Valley View School, a leading therapeutic boarding school in North Brookfield, Massachusetts, is excited to announce the launch of its new Next Step program for prospective graduates. Designed to help students successfully reintegrate into life after their therapeutic journey, this program focuses on building critical skills that will guide students as they transition into their next chapter. Central to this program is a twice-weekly group emphasizing Digital Balance, where students learn how to manage their online presence, explore the impact of social media, and develop intentional media habits that align with their real-world interests.
The Digital Balance group will explore the complexities of modern digital life, offering students a space to explore both the positive and negative aspects of social media usage. Students will work to develop healthier relationships with technology by balancing their online and offline worlds. In addition to digital wellness, the program will address other key aspects of reintegration, including the challenges of returning to a full-time family environment, adapting to a non-therapeutic academic setting, and cultivating positive, lasting relationships with peers and family.
By the end of the three-month program, students will have developed the necessary skills to better face the path ahead. Valley View School is committed to preparing students for success in all areas of their lives through a holistic approach that incorporates therapy, digital mindfulness, and social reintegration.
