Hampshire Country School to host April 22, 2026, Symposium on Reframing Neurodivergence at The Park Theater in Jaffrey, NH.
Hampshire Country School is proud to welcome internationally recognized autism advocate and author, Dr. Temple Grandin, for a special speaking engagement at The Park Theater in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 6:30-9:30 pm.
Dr. Grandin, a distinguished alumna of Hampshire Country School and one of the most influential voices in the world on autism and neurodiversity, will deliver a keynote address sharing insights from her personal journey, professional accomplishments, and decades of advocacy for neurodivergent individuals. Her work as a professor of animal science, bestselling author, and global speaker has transformed public understanding of autism and helped reshape educational and workplace practices to support diverse learners and thinkers.
Following Dr. Grandin's keynote, attendees are invited to participate in a symposium centered on Reframing Neurodivergence: Strengths-Based Approaches that Celebrate the Gifts of Young Learners. The conversation will explore how educators, clinicians, and families can better understand, support, and champion neurodivergent learners by focusing on strengths, practical strategies, and innovative approaches.
The distinguished panel will include:
- Dr. Will White, Clinical Consultant at Moosilauke Visions
- Dr. Caroline Robertson, Associate Professor & Neuroscientist in the Dept of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Dartmouth College
- Dr. David Rowe, Director of Neuropsychology at United Assessment
- Stacia Languille, Founder of Ancora Imparo Equine Center
The panel discussion will be facilitated by Chris Heys, Head of School at Hampshire Country School, and will provide opportunities for thoughtful dialogue about current research, therapeutic innovation, experiential and holistic educational approaches, and the importance of reframing how society both views and responds to neurodivergence.
"This event reflects our deep commitment to honoring the unique strengths of every learner," said Chris Heys. "The theme of Reframing Neurodivergence speaks directly to the mission of HCS and to Dr. Grandin's lifelong advocacy. We are honored to welcome her back as a distinguished alumna and to convene such an accomplished group of professionals for this important conversation."
The keynote and symposium are FREE but require an RSVP: EVENT DETAILS CAN BE FOUND HERE.
