How Key Collective Matches Clients to Mentors

At Key Collective, individualized in-home mentorship and 24/7 live-in companion support are provided for adolescents and adults navigating mental health challenges, substance use, neurodivergent support needs, and complex life transitions.

The work often begins during periods when traditional support alone is no longer sufficient. Clients may be struggling with failure to launch, treatment resistance, difficulty transitioning home after residential care, school avoidance, social withdrawal, relapse concerns, or a broader loss of structure and follow-through in daily life.

A defining aspect of Key Collective’s model is the intentionality behind mentor matching. Clients are thoughtfully paired with mentors not only on personality and shared interests, but also on lived experience, identity, or recovery background. The organization believes that authentic connection, combined with advanced education and professional experience, creates the foundation for trust, engagement, and meaningful progress.

Services include weekly, goal-oriented mentorship as well as live-in companion care for clients requiring more consistent support during vulnerable periods, including treatment waitlist transitions, relapse prevention, suicide prevention, and family system stabilization. All services are clinically overseen and collaborative with existing treatment teams.

Key Collective supports clients ages 13 and older and works closely with families, educational consultants, therapists, psychiatrists, and referral partners throughout the care process.
