Lake Tahoe Preparatory School is thrilled to welcome two exceptional new team members. Jenn McMurry joins as Director of Admissions, supporting school growth and outreach. At the same time, Lauren Hilton, LPCC, comes aboard as primary therapist on the wellness team. Lauren will join Clinical Director Aaron Aldridge, LPCC, and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Paul Goddard in providing wellness supports for traditional boarding students. Jenn leads outreach efforts, guiding students, families, consultants, and partner schools through the admissions process, while Lauren contributes deep clinical expertise. Together, they strengthen the school's commitment to personalized support and meaningful connections. Lauren Hilton, LPCC, brings over 20 years of experience as a licensed professional clinical counselor working with adolescents, families, and parents. Known for her warmth, humor, and genuine presence, she operates from a stance of unconditional positive regard and models key therapeutic skills such as emotional flexibility, radical acceptance, and deep listening. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Lauren guides students to relate to their internal experiences with kindness and curiosity. Her motto, "no bad parts," reflects her belief that every aspect of oneself deserves care and exploration. She also provides parent coaching that fosters reconnection, regulation, and resilience. Jenn McMurry brings more than two decades of experience in admissions, operations, and human resources within therapeutic and educational settings. She is known for a values-driven, empathetic approach grounded in clear communication, mutual respect, and accountability. Jenn holds a background in business, and she embraces a lifelong curiosity for learning.
