Struggling in College? This New Home in Coeur d’Alene Could Be the Reset Students Need to Succeed
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – August 16, 2026 – Northwest College Support is excited to announce the opening of its new ReSet House as of Summer 2026. The charming 3-bedroom, 2- bathroom home has been newly renovated and is located in the same neighborhood as Northwest College Support’s single, studio-style dorms and 2-bedroom student apartments. Situated in downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the ReSet House offers convenient access to North Idaho College, shopping, dining, and lakeside recreation. It is also close to Northwest College Support’s offices and the program’s Student Study Lab, making it an ideal addition to the organization’s existing housing portfolio.
The ReSet House provides a higher level of structure, support, and supervision for students. Family-style meals are included, along with 24/7 wake-shift staff. Throughout the day, students enrolled in the ReSet House receive the same expert-level education coaching, life skills mentoring, and mental health therapy available to students in Northwest College Support’s other housing options.
A key feature of the ReSet House is its flexible design within the program structure. It can serve as a short-term intervention to provide additional support during a particularly challenging period in a student’s semester, helping them stay on track. Alternatively, it can function as a supportive “landing pad” for new students enrolling at Northwest College Support who may be transitioning from a wilderness or residential treatment program, offering a softer entry point until they are ready to move into more independent housing options.
“The ReSet House gives us the ability to meet students exactly where they are,” said Dan Hanks, LCPC, M.Ed, Ed.S., owner and founder at Northwest College Support. “Whether a student needs temporary extra structure mid-semester or a gentle transition into college life after a treatment program, this home provides the consistent support, accountability, and community that can make all the difference in their success.”
A virtual tour of the ReSet House is available on Northwest College Support’s website. Families and students interested in scheduling an in-person tour or learning more about the program are encouraged to contact the Admissions Director, Theresa Wardle, at theresa@collegesupportnw.com.
