PIVOTPoint WNC is pleased to announce its pivotal shift toward all-gender inclusivity, set to commence with the Winter Session on December 8, 2023.
Committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity, PIVOTPoint WNC will provide a secure, empowering, and productive environment for all participants, regardless of gender identity. In collaboration with a local gender-expansive program, the organization is expanding its support for all-gender groups in the young adult program.
This visionary transition comprises three phases:
- Awareness & Training: Decided on October 5, 2023, this campaign informed all participants and stakeholders about the pivot towards all-gender inclusivity for the young adult program. Provide ongoing comprehensive training sessions for staff, educators, and participants to equip them with skills to foster inclusivity.
- Policy Revision & Implementation: Effective November 30, 2023, policy revisions, solidifying commitment to all-gender inclusivity. Robust systems are established to address concerns during the transition.
- Full Implementation: The journey culminates with the Winter Session on December 8, 2023, marking the commencement of all-gender inclusive Cohorts.
When asked about the upcoming shift to include all genders, Tai Kulenic, MPS, LCMHC, ATR, Program Director at PIVOTPoint had this to share, “I am genuinely excited about our organization's shift towards all-gender inclusivity within our young adult program.
