Pure Life Adventure, a premier therapeutic adventure program based in Costa Rica, will transition ownership beginning January 2026. This change includes introducing new program initiatives designed to continue the tradition of long-term, positive impact on young people and their families.
Since its co-founding in 2013 by Andrew Taylor, Pure Life has been a catalyst for growth for over 600 young people and their families. The program has provided meaningful employment for local Costa Rican staff and has supported and enriched many surrounding communities. Pure Life has fostered a vibrant alumni community of students, families, and staff who are united in their commitment to resilience, healing, and purposeful living.
Ownership Transition: Continuity and Expertise
After 12 years of dedication, founder Andrew Taylor is stepping away from ownership to focus on new ventures, including Aunica Health and Octagon Mentoring.
Andrew Taylor reflected on his journey: "Leaving is a mix of emotions. Pure Life has truly been one of the most important callings of my life. I am profoundly thankful for the commitment of our staff, the trust of our referral partners, the dedication of our alumni families, and the incredible support of the Costa Rican community that has shaped Pure Life from the beginning. Costa Rica and its people have given me so much. Allan and Mara have been outstanding partners and will continue to lead Pure Life with integrity and passion."
Clinical Director Mara Mueller and Executive Director Allan Capp, who have managed Pure Life’s daily operations in Costa Rica since 2021, will now assume full ownership. This transition guarantees the continuity of the program's commitment to safety, clinical excellence, and its values-driven mission.
“We remain dedicated to creating safe, purposeful, and transformative experiences for young people and families,” stated Mara Mueller. “Our faith in the healing power of nature, adventure, and community runs deep.”
Allan Capp added, “Pure Life is more than a program; it represents a forward movement toward resilience and growth. We are eager to continue the mission of Pure Life and expand the opportunities we provide to those we serve.”
