STRīV Holds Fifth Annual Winter Coat Drive with One Warm Coat
Orem, UT: STRīV kicks off their 5th Annual Winter Coat Drive.
Embracing the principle of “meaningful service,” STRiV looks for opportunities to give back to their community, and holding an annual winter coat drive is a wonderful way to involve students and staff in a great cause. Each year since opening its doors, STRīV has partnered with One Warm Coat, distributing warmth to those in need. The 2023 STRīV Coat Drive will go from December 1 – 21, and will greatly help some of our less fortunate neighbors stay warm during the cold winter months.
Dr. Clark Hammond, Co-Founder and Executive Director of STRiV discussed the partnership with One Warm Coat: “This is our 5th year of being a Coat Drive Ambassador with One Warm Coat. First of all, they have all the resources and a simple platform to support the collection of physical coats and financial contributions. Second, they are a highly rated non-profit that Charity Navigator confirms as one you can give to with confidence. And finally, while they have a strong national presence, coats collected through this partnership are distributed locally. So we know the coats we collect will help our own community.”
Last year, the STRiV Coat Drive helped warm just under 300 people. This year, through their blended traditional and virtual coat drive, STRīV hopes to warm 500 people, in a combination of financial contributions and coats collected.
