Success Is Subject Podcasts Special Parent Series Becomes Invaluable Resource For Parents

The Success is Subjective podcast released twenty-three anonymous parent interviews for Mental Health Awareness Month in May, bringing the collective number of parent interviews to thirty-two. This “Special Parent Series” will continue indefinitely, releasing one new parent interview each month. The goal is to gather at least fifty parent interviews.

These parent interviews include parents of adolescents and young adults who enrolled in treatment programs, including local hospitals, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), partial hospitalization programs (PHPs), residential treatment, wilderness therapy programs, therapeutic boarding schools, and young adult transition programs. They discuss hiring transport services, getting guidance from therapeutic consultants, and working with parent coaches. These stories aren't all positive.

"This podcast series is a bonus resource for parents, especially those seeking support anonymously. For parents who aren't sure about hiring a consultant or hesitant to work with a transport company, these interviews provide some powerful insight and guidance from individual parent's experiences," shared Joanna Lilley, podcast host. "Any parent who feels comfortable to share their perspective is welcome to be a guest."

For those curious about where to find the “Special Parent Series,” it can be found on all podcast-playing platforms (Amazon, Apple, Audible, Google, iHeart Radio, Spotify, Stitcher, and TuneIn Radio). Listener discretion is advised as topics such as self-harm, suicide, addiction, and traumatic events are discussed. Parents interested in being a guest should visit the Parent Guest Form.

Another “special series” will soon include former participants discussing their treatment experiences during adolescence or as young adults.
